The Junior League of Monroe is very proud of that historic reputation, but as society changes, we adapt and evolve. We strive to put our venerable values to work in modern ways; demonstrating our pride and perpetuating our legacy by serving as a powerful voice for action, justice and change throughout Northeast Louisiana. Together, we are working to empower our members to improve the health and well-being of women and children at risk in our community through targeted programs centered on Education, Job Training, Financial Literacy, and Health Education.

Become a Driving Force of Change Within Your Community 

We accept new members in early spring and late fall and our application period is currently open. When new members apply, they are invited to join a 6-month Provisional class that provides them with the tools and information they’ll need to play a crucial role in the The Junior League of Monroe’s current community goal of improving the health and well-being of women and children at risk in our community through targeted programs centered on Education, Job Training, Financial Literacy, and Health Education. 

The Junior League of Monroe Eligibility Requirements 

• Applicants must be 23 by the league year in which you are completing your provisional program to be eligible for membership. 
• Possess an interest in voluntarism. 
• Possess a commitment to community service. 
• Be sponsored by 2 current JLM members (Active or Sustainer Member who is in good standing)
